When one of your workers is injured, you have a business to keep running and obligations that begin straight away. Nexus Rehab is a SIRA-approved workplace rehabilitation provider that coordinates the return-to-work side of the claim — suitable duties, workplace assessment and a single point of contact — so you meet those obligations without chasing anyone for an update. We work under the NSW workers compensation, CTP and icare schemes, across all of NSW, metropolitan and regional.

One point of contact for the whole claim

When a claim opens you are suddenly dealing with an insurer, a nominated treating doctor and a worker who needs answers. Nexus Rehab sits in the middle of that as the return-to-work coordinator. We keep those four parties working to the same plan, document what is agreed, and keep you across each step, so you are not relaying messages between a case manager and a doctor to work out where things stand.

Suitable duties your business can actually offer

A certificate of capacity tells you what a worker is cleared to do. It does not tell you which of your jobs fit. We carry out a workplace and ergonomic assessment on the site as the work is actually done, then turn that certificate into a suitable-duties plan you can put into practice, covering the tasks, hours and adjustments. As the treating doctor's certified capacity changes, the duties change with it. We coordinate this; we do not provide medical treatment.

Meeting your obligations under the scheme

NSW employers carry real obligations after a workplace injury: notify your insurer once you are aware of it, support the worker to recover at work, provide suitable employment where it is reasonably practicable, and keep a return-to-work program in place. We coordinate the return-to-work side so those obligations are met with a documented plan rather than guesswork. What it costs, and why timing matters

For approved services, there is no cost to your business — the insurer pays under the scheme. Every service is pre-approved before it is delivered, so there are no surprise invoices. Timing is the part you influence: under the NSW scheme, claim costs feed into your premium over time, and a claim generally costs more the longer it stays open. Getting a structured return to work moving early is where an employer has the most say.
